B.H. Pheasant Tail Flashback

B.H. PHEASANT TAIL FLASHBACK

As the days get colder so dose the dry fly fishing. This is the time to start trying a nymph; the B.H. Flashback is a fantastic option. Fished in the faster runs or as a dropper under a large dry fly, this fly is a fish catcher from the Thredbo to N.Z. Try tying it with a Tungsten Bead for a bit more weight especially if you need to get the fly down deeper.

Hook: Tiemco 5263 size 10-18.
Bead: Gold bead or a Tungsten.
Thread: 6/0 black.
Body: Pheasant Tail.
Rib:
Copper wire.
Tail: Pheasant Tail.
Thorax: Peacock Herl.
Shell Back: Pearl Mylar or Crystal flash.

How To Tie
Step 1: Pull Bead head over hook.
Step 2: Tie in Thread.
Step 3: Tie in tail and copper wire.
Step 4: Form body with Pheasant Tail and rib body.
Step 5: Tie in pearl Mylar.
Step 6: Tie in Peacock Herl and build up thorax.
Step 7: Pull shell back over thorax and tie off.
