SHROEDER HOPPER

HOOK: Tiemco 100 size 12,14.
BODY: Hareline dubbing mixed brown, natural, yellow.
LEGS: Pheasant tail tied into hopper legs.
BACK: Dark Pheasant tail.
WING POST: White Calf tail.
HACKLE: Grizzly hackle size 12

TO TIE
Step1: Tie in the wing post parachute style.
Step2: Dub body up to wing post
Step3: Tie in Pheasant tail hopper legs and back.
Step4: Tie in grizzle hackle parachute style around wing post, 4-5 wraps.
Step5: Dub under hackle to form head and tie off.

A hopper pattern with a great sub water profile, the parachute tied hackle lets the fly sit down in the water, while the wing post makes it easy to see. This fly has caught many good fish from Guthega pondage to the Thredbo River. Anywhere there are hoppers; this fly would be my choice.
