Great start to the Fishing Season

The weather has been tough with strong winds and big water but the fishing has been great.

The Thredbo is running well and clear, and there are still Rainbows running up. For the locals that could fish, the fishing has been excellent, especially in the lower reaches. Heavy Tungsten Nymphs with small unweighted Nymphs behind have been catching good fish, especially in the fast water. Glow Bugs and coloured beads in Orange and Pink have been good as well.

Lake Jindabyne and Lake Eucumbene are rising rapidly, with lots of great fish cruising in the shallow water, Midge are everywhere in Eucumbene with fish being caught in shin deep water.

The Eucumbene River is running hard but the flats give you a chance to cover some beautiful water producing some great Browns and Rainbows.

The smaller Snowy Streams are starting to settle so some great fishing is ahead.

With most of us in lockdown there is some great fishing when we open up. Hopefully we will have the shop open soon and looking after our customers. The website has been busy and we thank everyone for the support.

Call in and see us when you come up, we can update you with the latest information and of course, great gear.

Cheers and see you soon,

Murray
